No other software i've paid for does this. Yet again the notification pops up that it's unregistered, and I have to go through logging in again. This isn't being good to customers. It should just stay in the background and do its job. This installed with my new portable hard drive without giving me sufficient information to trust it.

However, use of the software depends on your willingness to subject your Mac and, specifically, your BootCamp partition to substantial risk. Went into System Preferences to access the Paragon Pane. Was able to mount from there, but receive a message that my BootCamp partition was in hibernate mode so it would be dangerous to reboot. In fact, I had disabled it. Now, if you visit the Paragon site, you'll find frequently asked questions concerning this version and there is a section specific to failure to mount.
In fairness, there is a solution, but it involved manipulation in Windows. Some of the manipulation is easy and could be done by any user. But when the use of "regedit" comes into play, that is NOT a good sign. Because some users are not familiar with the Registry and some would rather not touch it. And, finally, for some, the end results would be a disaster.
It seems that there are quite some users who want nothing more than to give bad software ratings rather based in personal bias rather than how the software works.
I did initially have issues with registering the software. Remember that you are purchasing it through a 3rd party vendor and not direct from Paragon. The following morning, everything registered perfectly fine and the software is running.
As for the real review of the software. I have full access to my windows NTFS drive. I can finally change the drive icon on my desktop to look something more decent as I have windows stored on an external SSD.
The other really cool feature is you can easily flag external drives not to be automatically mounted. I have a large Thunderbay with multiple drives. Some are used for windows, others are test installs for MacOS. I don't need all of them loaded in my daily Mac desktop. You just simply have to open the NTFS control panel and tick off 'do not mount automatically' and done. The next time you boot the drive doesn't auto pop up. This should be something that MacOS would do, but no.
